The FHRD, as the official local agent of the Centre for Labour Market Studies, University of Leicester, U.K., is offering the following programmes on a distance-learning basis. To access the course content kindly click on each individual course.

It is the intention of CLMS and FHRD to provide an opportunity for academic formation in Human Resource Management and Development. And it is the objective of FHRD to provide an efficient support system for CLMS students in the Maltese Islands.
FHRD provides all the necessary administration support to students recruited to follow one of the Centre’s distance learning programmes – Certificate, Diploma, Master’s and Doctorate courses.

SUPPORT AVAILABLE TO CLMS STUDENTS
- Support Structures by CLMS
- Each intake is assisted by an Academic Team.
- Academic staff are available daily to provide academic support.
- Students following the Certificate and Diploma courses are assigned a tutor for the whole duration of the course. Masters and Doctorate students rely on a pool of experts for their queries.
- All the course materials are provided. These are based on research, teaching, consultancy experience of the staff, taking account of policy developments, latest developments in the labour market and training, and of student feedback. It is a system of continuous development and improvement of the learning materials.
- Leicester University is committed to utilise information technology resources to overcome any geographical problems associated with distance learning. IT facilities include an online library services, discussion boards with other students worldwide and with the academics, a dissertation database, access to electronic sources of information etc.
2. Support Structures by FHRD
- Students are provided with all the administration and emotional support required;
- FHRD provides a direct link to CLMS;
- A library is available containing books from the course suggested reading lists;
- Two annual teaching events are organised by FHRD during which CLMS academic staff provide tutorial support to all Masters and Doctorate students in Malta;
- Students are highly encouraged to create study groups;
- FHRD facilitates periodical support meetings; It also provides support on the IT facilities of CLMS;
- CLMS students are entitled to the use of the FHRD library.
By undertaking a course at CLMS, you become part of a department which is at the cutting edge of published research in labour market studies and human resources management.
