Brief
An increasingly diverse workforce necessitates policies and practices that not only serve the 'average' worker but also the wide spectrum of social and individual characteristics. Failing to acknowledge and work towards integrating these diversities will render policies and practices outdated and discriminatory. Simple affirmative action policies will not suffice. It requires that sexual diversity, amongst the many forms openly acknowledged in the modern workplace, must be the focus of initiatives with the purpose of ensuring that organisations strive to excel the potential of all employees irrespective of their sexual orientations and the stigma that these still carry.
