A Maltese student, Ms. Karen Micallef, has obtained recognition for achieving the best results from among hundreds of students from around the world who followed Masters Degree programme via distance learning with the University of Leiceste

Ms. Karen Micallef graduated with distinction in management after she achieved very good results in 11 course modules during the 18 month course. During the graduation, Karen Micallef was recognized as the best student from among all those who did this course.

“Apart from the fact that it is of great satisfaction for me because the sacrifice I did was worth it – I feel proud for my country when one considers that from among all the countries, someone from Malta achieved this honour,” she said.

Karen said that the fact that she did it through correspondence gave her more flexibility.

“The key to success when doing a long distance learning course is to have very good time management as well as to be willing to make sacrifices”.

“It makes you critical, it forces you to think and as they say, ‘ to think outside the box’ – so I believe that these skills which I obtained from the Masters will help me not only in life, on a professional level, but even in my personal life,” she said.
