Course Title	Workers’ Health and Safety Representatives’ Course
Course Content	OHSA 2000 and related legislation. The law and Health and Safety Reps. Specific rights given in law. Risk assessment. Safety inspections. Accident investigation. Effective communications Listening skills. Negotiating with employers and employees.
Course Objective	This course is designed to help Health and Safety Representatives to understand their role, and to equip them with the basic knowledge and skills necessary for them to carry out their functions effectively. Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to: ·     Understand the nature of their role as Health and Safety Representatives ·     Understand their rights and duties ·     Be familiar with some of the basic techniques used in health and safety management Communicate and negotiate effectively
