Nonetheless, we still find departments and/or teams within an organisation developing initiatives and/or programmes which do not reflect an organisation's identity. This holds back the company, preventing it from moving forward. 
Gallup, the pioneer behind the employee engagement movement in the late 1990s, has found that employees who are increasingly more aligned with their organisation's identity perform better than those who are less aligned.
