Topic Overview:

During this highly interactive session the definition and various types of sexual harassment will be explored. Sexual harassment is a very subjective phenomenon which often depends on the subjective experience of the person experiencing it. This session will also explore the differing perceptions of sexual harassment as well as the causes and consequences of this potentially devastating experience which often damages the workplace dynamics but most of all the psychological and physical well-being of the victim. A quick overview of combating sexual harassment in the workplace by creating a sexual harassment policy, will also be given.

Speaker’s Profile:

Daniela Xuereb

Daniela graduated in Psychology in 1996 and immediately proceeded to obtain a Masters degree in Occupational Psychology from Cardiff University Wales where she was among the first to explore the phenomenon of sexual harassment in the workplace through her dissertation which examined perceptions of sexual harassment in traditional and non-traditional occupations.
