Topic Overview:
Sceptics suggest that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is predominantly driven by policy and governance issues, rather than as a result of a deep understanding of the third sector and community issues. How much of today's CSR policies are the result of corporate-NGO partnerships that are built on equal footing, rather than a corporate simply funding an ‘ask’?
>This Practitioner's meeting looks at the role of the HR Manager in creating [and adding value] to partnerships between the corporates and the non-profits, enhancing the performance of both organisations as a result.
The meeting will rely heavily on participation and debate, rather than on theory.
Speaker’s Profile:
Nathan Farrugia is CEO of the Razzett tal-Hbiberija and managing director of CharityWorks. He is a Strathclyde MBA graduate with a background in the health industry. As a consultant, Nathan has worked with a number of local and foreign organisations to support their causes. He is keen to improve the long term sustainability of local charities by improving the skills and capabilities of their management teams, and through stronger links with the corporate sector.
