FHRD visit to Lufthansa Technik Malta

On September 11, the FHRD organised an HR networking visit to Lufthansa Technik Malta.
During this visit participants were given a presentation by Antoinette Caruana, human resources manager, on the company set-up and HR initiatives being undertaken to prepare for the expansion programme already in progress at Lufthansa Technik Malta, involving the training and recruitment of over 500 new employees until 2010.
During the session, those present had the opportunity to compare notes on a number of HR-related issues. Following the presentation, the group was taken on a tour of the hangar by Philip Zammit, employee development executive, and given an explanation on the number and type of activities that are involved in carrying out a C-check on an aircraft.
