University of Greenwich offers B.Sc., M.Sc. in occupational safety and health through FHRD
Ms Maria Pia Chircop, CEO, Foundation for Human Resources Development
The Foundation for Human Resources Development is pleased to announce its appointment as the sole agent for the School of Architecture and Construction, University of Greenwich, for the following degrees in occupational safety and health: B.Sc. (Hons) in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE), M.Sc. in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH); and M.Sc. in Occupational Hygiene (OH), through distance learning.
This is the right time for all those who are responsible for the safety and health of people at the workplace to add value to their hands-on experience through such an academic qualification.
All employers, owner managers and HR managers should ensure that this profession is not less important than any other profession at the workplace and hence every opportunity should be offered for specialisation of the role.
It is a position that should create a prevention-oriented culture incorporated in management strategies to minimise the negative impact of organisational and technological change on health and safety.
Stuart Allan, B.Sc., M.Sc., MIIRSM, MIOA, principal lecturer and programme leader from the School of Architecture and Construction, University of Greenwich, will be at the FHRD in Malta on Saturday, March 25, between 9.30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
During this Open Day, Mr Allan will introduce the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees and answer any queries from all those who wish to embark on such programmes of studies.
The first intake of students is scheduled for May 20 when Mr Allan will be back to Malta for induction training. Applications are being received at the FHRD until April 14.
Those who wish to attend can call me on 2137-8895 or confirm their attendance by sending an email to mpchircop@fhrd.org up to Wednesday, March 15. |
