CLMS information meeting
Due to popular request, another information meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at 6 p.m. at the FHRD in San Gwann. The meeting will provide details of all courses CLMS offer, especially introducing the new Master of Science programmes.
The courses starting next May are: Diploma in Training and Development, Diploma in Human Resource Management, Master's in Human Resource Development, Master's in Human Resource Management and Development, Master's in Human Resource Development and Performance Management, Master's in International HR and Globalisation, and the Doctorate in Social Sciences, which will start in April.
CLMS also offers two certificate courses: Certificate in Training Practice and Certificate in Training Practice and Human Resource Management, which start every October.
The Certificate courses are at entry level, aimed at those who currently have or wish to pursue a career in training but have little or no prior knowledge of training or HR operations. The programme aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills relevant to the practice of training and human resource management.
The Diploma courses are at intermediate level for those Training and HR practitioners who wish to enhance their existing skills and knowledge through the application of theory to practice.
The Master's programme is designed for experienced training and HR practitioners, who wish to enhance their understanding of the operation of processes and how these can be made to work more effectively through the critique of theories, concepts and debates.
It aims to equip students with knowledge and skills relevant to the management and development of human resources through focusing on the role of human resource development, human resource management and performance management at individual, organisational, national and/or international levels of analysis. The courses also provides students with the research skills to undertake research at Master's level.
The Doctorate in Social Sciences aims to produce a group of leading-edge practitioners who have mastered the full range of theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to conduct their professional activities at the highest levels.
Students are presented with a challenging and an intellectually engaging, taught programme, which is informed by the latest research and conceptual debates on the subject. The aim is to guide graduate learners towards the pinnacle of their scholarly development: to prepare them for the rigours of doctoral research, and to further broaden their analytical skills.
